Company History
Established in 1991, Western Valve is the leading
remanufacturer of pipeline thru-conduit valves. Each
valve is completely refurbished to same as new condition
and tested to American Petroleum Institute (API) 6D
standards. Laws on pipeline integrity and attention to
infrastructure have led to increased pipeline
maintenance and replacement of obsolete equipment.
Offering reconditioned valves, as well as repairing
valves, allows Western Valve to recycle and reuse
equipment, which is environmentally friendly and cost
efficient to our customers.
In 2000, Western Valve began manufacturing the DAN-EX
Dual Expanding Plug Valve. The specially engineered
product line, acquired from Daniel Valve Company, was
introduced into the industrial valve market in 1979.
Western Valve supplies new valves and repair kits for
existing valves. The DAN-EX valve is a green valve; it
is fugitive emission free, verifiable by design
features.
The growth of the double block and bleed market is
relative to the need for pipeline integrity and the
increased demand for fuel, due to population growth.
Alternate transportation routes, such as underground
pipelines, substantially reduce highway traffic from
fuel trucks and the safety hazards they produce. The
DAN-EX valve is also seeing an increased demand in the
standard and military aviation fueling industry. Since
purchasing the DAN-EX line, Western Valve has shipped
valves and valve parts within the United States, as well
as exporting to 24 different countries.
Western Valve achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification.
Our Quality program encompasses every position in our
plant; from the janitor to the owners. The purpose of
our program is to
- Achieve product consistency and conformity,
- Meet customer requirements with a focus on
customer satisfaction and perception,
- To continually improve our products and work
processes and
- Reduce scrap and rework costs. The ISO 9001:2008
certification is one of the top two manufacturing
certifications that can be obtained internationally.
We are very proud of this distinction. We are also
proud to manufacture an American made industrial
product. Competitors may look for the immediate gain
of low cost manufacturing abroad; we choose to
upgrade our systems and technology and formulate
ways to offer a competitive, quality product made by
resourceful, hardworking Americans.
